Weed control in 2 small lochs

Hi,

I'm the secretary of our wee fishing syndicate. I look after a couple of lochs, which are slowly being taken over by pondweed and mairs tale. Anyone out there recommend me a chemical treatment for this? Manually taking it out is not an option, as the club members are mostly in their dotage, and we can't afford to pay for a professionals to do it for us, so, it appears to be that the chemical route is the only one left.

Anyone have any experience or ideas of where I can go for advice / a large bag of aquatic weedkiller?

cheers

Ken

Hi Kennymac and welcome to AnglersNet.

Not to try and run you off but the forum on the PondBoss site http://www.pondboss.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi is probably the best place you can go for free advice of this sort. They are US based so won't be able to say where to get your supplies but the should certainly be able to tell you what to get and how to use it.
