just managed to get one of these off ebay, great condition for only 50 quid, these things cost a fortune when new.

 

did i get a good deal?

 

and what is a 'winter sheet'. the winter sheet with this one is unused but im not sure what it does or where it goes?

I don't know about that bivvy, but a winter sheet (or skin) usually means an extra 'cover' that goes over the bivvy. This keeps it drier and warmer.
