penn reels

Hello I have the old surfmasters and am changing another set of fs reels has anyone used the newer versions and are they much of an improvment?

i tried them ( in the shop, not on the beach ) when i was in the market for a big f/s, didn't like the 'feel' of the 850, something wasn't right about it, went with the okuma axeon in the end. big spool and casts a long,long way with a huge retrieve, it gets used with a rt axcellerator.
