Accles & Pollack Salmon Rod

Recommended Posts

I have a salmon rod maked as made by Accles & Pollack. I used it as a young made in lieu of an Avon rod for fishing in the upper Thames.

My question is:- Are these now classed collector's items? I have never seen any mention of them.

Many thanks for guidance.

they are collectors rods but more or less theres collectors for everything.

mint in a mint bag as always gets the high prices which applies ofcourse to everything.

The one I have is a steel one. It is not mint, well used. Has it any value?

watch ebay for the finish prices but its only a guide and reflect the condition of yours.

collectors demand mint in mint (bag or box) prices dramatically change from the best to the not so only rarity of the item changes that ,if its very rare then collectors will bump the price up despite its condition .

look through the finished items on ebay to spot yours if its been sold recently if not keep your eye on ebay for identical ones coming up.

ebay is not a 100% valuation guide though remember if two silly people desperately want an item the price can (often) rise far above its worth (seen brand new things sell far more expensively than you can buy from the shops) unfortunately though when i sell stuff most of the time those silly bidders are on holiday

has it a value? well everything has if you can find someone that wants to buy it
