hi all i didnt fish last winter because i didnt no how to winter fish

 

can any one help me on what rigs and baits to use during the winter

Not a lot different; just might need some adjustment to handle the rougher conditions.

 

If you got through the Solent weed this summer, you'll probably survive.

 

The biggest difference I recommend would be changing over from rag to lugworm in winter .... once the crabs have thinned out.

The majority (possibly because of cost) then fish a single worm and miss out on some big whiting, cod and codling.

 

For bass after a 'blow' ONLY use limpets!!!!

Unfortunately, don't expect 3 for 36 3/4lbs this year; they'll mainly be in the 2-3lbs bracket.
