Nice session, sounds great! It's great when you don't know what the next fish will be. I bet those grayling didn't come quietly :)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

This has actually made me quite keen to have a session after dace again, just to see if they are still as big as they used to be. My biggest ever dace was 13 ounces, caught while chub fishing on the Welland at Tinwell. I'm sure some people will cringe when I say that I actually swung it in, thinking that it was a small chub :oops:

English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havishambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary, Rawlinson End.
