polarising filters?

i have a UV filter on my main lens, should i remove it before fitting the polariser??

it's ok, answered this one myself with a bit of googling...

 

it can cause vignetting....

 

all i need is a hot and sunny day to practice with it....

you dont need a sunny day to play with the filter dude, you can have a look to see what it does by just looking at things that are lit from a few different places. My Mobile on my desk for example is lit by the main lights, my desk light and my monitors. using the filter the face of the phone changes quite dramaticaly as certain reflections are obscured depending on the angle of the filter.

 

also just a day when the roads are wet and the sun is coming up/going down will be a great test. i am sure you know the days, when you are dricing along and because of the road and the sun the road is nearly white with reflection. The filter sohuld get rid of that.
