loch Awe and Etive

Hi,

I'm up on loch Awe in April for a weeks fishing (fresh and sea), taking the boat up so have access to loch Awe and Etive (at Taynuilt) anyone know what marks and baits will be productive at this time of year for either loch?

Any assistnace would be appreciated

Hiya, I'm just back in from a day on Etive...we had 7 species in total for the day, not bad at all ...the guys that were there all go on small boats too. Today was a charter boat day..

 

For marks for the boat, what we do, is tie up to any of the bhouys situated around the loch...you will get fish off all of them...I will PM you tomorrow with some areas...and give you more detailed info. BTW, there will be more Etive knowledgable guys on here soon enough, they will help you a great deal..

 

As for Loch Awe, sorry, I've fished it on the shore, but never on the Boat.. Might be better on the Fly forum..

 

You could try http://www.worldseafishing.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8 and go to the Scottish Forum, as there are a host of us Scots on there :)

 

Might even arrange a wee "meet" at Etive for you...show you around :)

after we left you at lochearnhead we had few trees down at side of road , flooding a few times " my car thought it was boat " plus a few crashed cars.

Hi Jason,...Aye, it was an adventure...the road block we saw at Lochearnhead was open on one side, so we carried on...right down to almost Kilmahog, a mile from Callender....the Police were there, and said we would make it through no problem, which we did, the water was only a foot deep.. Even a Terrano could make it through !! which it did,...no problems at all mate.
