Organisations representing Britain's 800,000 sea anglers have reacted furiously to the news that EU Fisheries Ministers, including the UK's George Eustice, have caved in to pressure from commercial fishing interests and granted exemptions to the highly damaging bass gill net fishery.

What a load of total crap. TAT, Salter Horseman are responsible for this mess they have foisted upon both the inshore commercial industry and the recreational sea anglers. They are in a dream world where they have failed to provide evidence of depletion. All they are relying on is icis and their use of rubbish scientific, so called evidence from one part of the solent. There is no other evidence of stock depletions what so ever.

You do not represent 800,000 sea anglers, where did you dream that figure up from. TAT, At best in a stretched year you have perhaps 3000 anglers (DECREASING) of all sea disciplines at most. You don't even have one dedicated member of your organisation representing any sea anglers what so ever. Don't tell us both salter and Mitchell are looking after sea anglers interests, in particular, Salter put his foot in it big time where he previously negotiated with the E U to be told a complete no take for the rsa. Screaming that he was miss-understood, stated 3 bass would be ok for the sea angler to take home. Now the powers to be including TAT are looking for a nil take for the rsa. JUST WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, YOU FACELESS WONDERS, while attempting to blame others.

This is what the rsa and the charter boat industry are facing, yet TAT and the cohoots have really cocked up big time, it can't get any worse for the rsa industry can it? SHOW US THE STOCK FALLING OFF A CLIFF, SALTER, THAT IS WHAT YOU HAVE CLAIMED.

At the same time, the £200 million recreational bass sector will see a zero bag limit in the first six months and in the second half of the year the bag limit for anglers will be reduced from three fish a day to just one. Whilst anglers were pleased to have retained Catch and Release fishing for bass during the first half of the year, they claim that the overall package has unfairly targeted the one activity that is most sustainable and creates the greatest economic benefit, in favour of allowing what is virtually 'business as usual' for the netters.

NO, ANGLERS ARE NOT PLEASED WITH CATCH AND RELEASE AND THE CHARTER BOAT INDUSTRY EVEN LESS SO. WHERE DID THAT LOAD OF TRIPE COME FROM. GILL NETTING IS TOTALLY SELECTIVE SO WHERE DID THE IDEA OF GILL NETTING BEING THE DEMISE OF THE STOCKS. DREAM ON.

FACT, THE U K COMMERCIAL BASS INDUSTRY IS SPLIT INTO 3 WITH TRAWLING, NETTING AND LINE CAUGHT SHARING APPROXIMATLY ONE THIRD EACH. SO WHY ARE YOU TARGETING THE NETTERS THEN TAT?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

The Irish model that TAT where looking to import into the u k is now going to happen. Unfortunately, the Irish model had failed in any event. Following 15 years or so of no commercial take and a two bag limit for anglers the Irish sea committee guys decided about a year ago, it had failed and they where surprised at the alleged low bass stocks showing.

These restrictions is what TAT and their chums BASS had salivated over for the u k. Now it looks as if they have gotten their way to the detriment of the industries. Be very proud of what you have achieved TAT, not. No one else's fault but your own naivety and lack of professionalism, you got what you wished for without any consideration to the damage you have caused to both industries.
