525 mag help pt. 2

Hi, thanks for the help previously, I've got another question now. I've filled the line on my new mag fine, but when I cast with it tomorrow, should I start the cast with it set fast and then as the cast comes to the end switch it onto slow? I loaded the line onto it, attached a sinker and then just let it drop to the the floor and there was a hell of an over run just from letting the weight drop 4ft. Any tips will be very much appreciated as I don't fancy spending tomorrow night untangling birdsnests, thanks.

no mike. start it slow then speed it up when the lead has gone away. or if you get over run keep it slow or tighten up on the end caps.

if its out like the 6500 you could add some slower oil to the bearings. or if its like a slosh add the bigger brakes, if it has any?
