Hi, I am fairly new to fishing. I am looking for any hints or tips for fishing on the river ouse Huntingdon. Any info will be greatfully received.

Hi and welcome to AN.
I can't help with specific advice for your venue but as this is your first post and you admit to being new to angling, I should point out that it rivers have a closed season where most coarse fishing is illegal This closed season runs from March 15th up to and including June 15th.

Its been a while since i fished that way but i vaguelly remember targetting the roach with hemp in the autumn months, I must add i only fished it in matches and this was the main method during that time. So it might not be as reliable as it was. As were going back 10 yrs.


everytime i catch a fish i'm lucky when i blank i'm a hopeless angler.
