Hello to all fellow Yakers.

Just a quick intruductory post.

I live in Bournemouth and have just started Kayak fishing,along with a friend Simon(Specimen).

We have had 2 trips so far.1 inside Poole Harbour and the 2nd last week out to sea off of Poole patch.

We both have the Ocean kayak Capers.The last trip we managed to catch Mackerel,Gurnard,Wrasse,pout and Bream.We are looking forward to our next trip,Next week weather permitting.

I have partly rigged my kayak so far with A anchor pully system,A cool box on the back with 4 tubes attached for my rods and landing net,and a catch bag bought from Lidels

I have a set of Golf trolly wheels,so am going to build a Kayak trolly early next week.If it all goes ok I will post some pics soon.

I own the Caper same as simon.

Yes I tried the Re-entry drill last month in the main channel of Poole Harbour.I was a bit hot any way.Seeing as I had my 5ml Diving wetsuit on at the time.lol

I have just brought the 3ml Farmer John style suit now.Its alot easier to paddle with:)

I have spent a few hours reading through the posts.There is alot of usefull information here.

I joined an American site last month,because there was no uk site that I could find.

It seems which ever Kayak site I go on ppl are always there to help newbie Kayakers.

It really looks like it is starting to take off in this country now

Hi Zzippy, I have the OK Caper and am new to YAK fishing. I am also in the process of building my own trolley and like you have the wheels. Am plannin to copy pretty closely the one made by Starvin on anglersafloat. I have got all the tubing and dowels to make one that fits into the scupper holes. Just trying to sort out the best way to make an axel for my wheels.

Just made my trolly today.The scupper version.It seems very strong.I will test it tomorrow and let you know how It goes.
