I have no take on gill tagging of you know what, simply because I don’t know what you are talking about.

Please explain or post a link and then I will respond.

Regards

I do apologise for not making myself clear, hope this helps, cheers.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Sounds ok to me Barry. Could be a problem with the removal of the tag just before you prepare it for the plate?

We have problems with large amounts of undersize lobsters going ashore each year. You don’t need a tag to show that they are illegal.

Still the man who is supplying fish illegal isn’t going to bother with bag limits anyway.

Regards and thanks for the information. Have a college at work that does a lot of work in the bass fishery, will have a word with him and get his outlook on the matter.

Gill tags are already catching on as a marketing tool in some fisheries.

Taken from the "Bass" page on the web-site;

"Fishermen in Cornwall and South Wales have a bigger Minimum Landing Size (MLS) than the rest of the UK meaning that at least the male fish caught off Cornwall are larger and have had more chance to reproduce".

At 37 and a half centimetres,that's simply not true,surely?

Just like tagging, why can't lobsters have numbered, lettered, bands on them. Accountability back to the guy who landed it. To be removed by the end user. i.e. the person who buys it from the fish monger or removed proir to cooking at the resturant. That would make any lobster without a numbered band to be confiscated full stop. Any one who is in recept of unnumbered lobsters to be charged with handling of stolen property.

As the hobby potter has only the right to two per day, any one in recipt of unbanded lobsters over that amount is a thief and treat them so.

Appears too easy .

The tagged bass in the photo, even i would pay to eat that one, if i don't fish for them that is. Bet those line caught tagged bass fetch a decent amount of dosh in the shops.
