Uptiding from Whitby on sea otter 2

There is no better way to fish from a boat than uptiding at anchor in winter. Fishing with light gear and hooks baited with squid and worm can be deadly for catching cod from Whitby in the autumn and winter. Another cod catching tip is to try a peeler crab which in the past has been known to tempt fish of upto 20 pounds. Uptiding really is my favourite method of boat fishing and with huge cod frequenting the inshore grounds at Whitby throughout the year and especially in the summer
