  1. 10,000 people off the road is 10,000 people of the road, i did not distinguish between any demographic or race. The end result would still be the same, less emissions. I think on this one we should agree to disagree as there is so many arguments both ways.
  2. so many issues. The main reason the government are laying this down is to "reduce climate changes" well if it prices people of the roads who cares. I for one would like to be able to breath in 20 years time and i would like my kids to know that people made sacrifices so they could lead a decent life. Not all the time do the government have a alterior motive for things, but surley if they bring something in that prices 10,000 cars of the road its got to be a good thing for all the people
  3. if your not fussed about trying to blend in with the trees look at brownings Water-X range its fantastic, wind proof waterproof comftable and 2pc so you can have either the jacket or trousers on Jackets about £72 if you shop around and trousers are about £63
  4. human rights wouldnt allow them to do that. the EU would have great fun. I think everyone here is missing the point, it all comes down to choice. Your choice to live in the country Your choice to drive a car Your choice to have a job where you have to travel Your choice to use public transport
  5. it wouldnt be the same would it. As everywhere would be covered by the same charge so there is no real zones. either way you got to pay. As it was said earlier, the government would have to reduce the tax on fuel, and abolish the road fund tax. But i think this way is much better, or the best way yet, is do away with road tax, put a small charge to enter the citys and increase the levy on fuel. that way no one can avoid it. if you drive more you pay more. You want to drive into the city rather than use park and ride you pay.
  6. yes someone who uses their car to get to work should pay more than someone who uses their car once a week, simple reason is they use it more! Yes there is no planed zero rate AREAS, but you can rest assured there will be ZERO rate TIMES, esp for the lorries etc delivering stock to shops etc. Just the same as there is in london, Just the same as there is in other countries. The government would soon back down against tescos, sainsbury's and the like once they say right we got to put prices up to cover these costs.
  7. so please explain then, why should someone pay road tax to use a car once a week, when a sales rep (used as example) travels thousands of miles a year pays the same, Road tax is there to support the rebuilding and building of new roads. so if you use them more pay more, dont want to pay dont drive And as for suppliers you will see them get a special rate the same as they do for the congestion zone, or there will be times where its not in force
  8. not one ill be signing then, i think that they need to do away with the road tax and bring this in, that way mr suit who travels 200 miles a week will pay more than mrs oap who drives to town once a week. ie the more roads you use the more you pay, and its one you can evade as easiley. And the answer if you dont want to pay it, dont drive use public transport. how about i set up a petition for banning road tax in favour of this new poilcy
  9. i got some titanium traces of a popular auction site and they are fantastic, hardly ever kink and i have total trust in them, never had one let me down yet, however i have only seen these as snap traces and on the down side should you kink one they will snap with very little pressure
  10. i would go with silicone, but im not sure about the odour
  11. im waiting for BT to unbundle their lines so i can get the sky broadband at 16mb uncapped for £17 a month, i should get about a 11mb connection on that but its not due here untill march
  12. goto www.adaware.com and download the free version as that may fix this problem
  13. run adaware, theres a bit of malware that hides the ping command. i just asked brother in law and hes had the same problem he said he ran adaware and spybot and it found somthing called nod32 just had a thought you dont use trend micro do you
  14. goto start>>>run and type in ping then the ip address. press enter and it should do it for you. if theres no response it is either you have the wrong ip or your firewall is blocking access
  15. how are you trying to ping the server, are you doing it via the start button then run "ping ip address"? what windoze do you use
  16. no always on is that the connection is always open. Its Essential that when you go broadband you have a up to date firewall and antivirus. this might interest you http://business.timesonline.co.uk/article/...2080933,00.html and also as much as it pains me to say this, but look at talk talk where broadband is free. alot of people complain because the speed is low however this proberbly wouldnt affect you as you dont download media etc
  17. just take your time with each and every fish. you will get there in the end. Experience and confidence come in time. Was you using a pole or rod and reel?
  18. well a size 18 hook should be ok i would imagine. Was it a sharp hook, a blunt hook will cause hook pulls like this, your clutch on the reel might of been just a little to tight, you was trying to land them to quick, or not using the landing net correctly, ie as the fish is coming in the head above water lay the net just under the surface and move the fish to net never the other way around. There is so many reasons as to a hook pull this are the main ones i can think off, you will lose thousands of fish but every one will make you that little bit wiser, we have either all been through it or are going through it
  19. First of chesters, get BT to check the noise levels on the line, then speak to tiscali and say to them that this is the noise level what type of service can i expect. they should be able to tell you roughly what you will get. Put it this way i have a exchange 150m from my house, i have a 8mb connection and connect at 5mb so im happy. The filters have to plug in EVERY main socket. So in your case it will be the first entry point for you phone line. plug the filter in there and then the extension in to the filter. The filters seperate the voice calls from data calls and enable you to get broadband service. Netscape will work with any broadband supplier i know off. And as for emails any client will work again netscape incredimail outlook. if you are on dial up now i expect it will be pay as you go meaning you should still have access to the email account even with broadband. If you look around there is some suppliers that have a monthly contract so you could sign up for a month if it works great then switch to tiscali, if it dont go back to dial up, its a good way of testing the water so to speak
  20. Should see you ok i would imagine (CLICKY)
  21. got them and im well impressed both with the reels and the shop got the line to and that also seems ok, and as we all quick to say about bad customer service, credit where credits due this place has just got a repeat customer.
  22. well i have ordered them along with some of that shimmy line they got on special as well. ordered it this morning, got a phone call about a hour later confirming delivery tomorrow. Never used that company before but i am impressed so far
  23. but is that a good price, ive seen them on ebay for around the same price but of course i would rather buy from a dealer than ebay
  24. i was there last june fished the main lake, dead tree lake and the speci lake, had carp out to 18 on the main. i didnt stay in the accomadation i was in my bivvy but, the lakes are fantastic good clear swims, good paths all around be warned tho if it rains its muddy.
