  2. yeh the pike did return in great health and we believe the next day wen we went again my m8 had a run but it did snap his line, but he said it looked like the same 1 i had on so alls good

    getting a lot of cod in the menai straits...using like 2-3 lug/rag worms at a time or a combo of worm n squid but big baits like that other guy sed! o yeh bound to get sum lil fishin biting it but keep it for the big bait 'nearly pulls ur rod in' (my dad says ^^) lol
  5. me and my dad had about 15 between us in the menai strait but they we're all under 1lb so we throguht them all back, but my dads m8 was under the new bridge and had 2 over 8lb goin menai straits this saturday will take sum pics and tell u how we get on =] o yeh btw did any1 go to the wirral cod festival, it got cancelled coz it was to windy+ ruff so its been reschedueled to the 3rd of jan =] will hopefully get a few there ^^
  6. why use braid? cant see the point in it myself cost like £6 for a lil spool, mite aswell just buy a trace or thicker line? :S ... i use a wire trace and always catch pike... pb is 17'3 lbs... from river mersery but im always getting runs with my friends but they never have there reels set right so it just snaps them strait away lmao and i tell them how to have it and everything they just mess wif it! anywayz is any1 from warrington on here??
  7. well my uncle and cuzen mix their own ground bait adding all sorts like hamster food, bread and adding loads of different liquidized things, but i normally just buy the bagged stuff and add water? lol could any 1 tell me which is beta and wat is good in a mix? thanks -topps-
  8. hello, im quite new to this website but i've been fishing since i was 3 im only 14, 15 in january but im really in to fishing i go EVERY weekend whether rain,snow,sleet or scorching sun(as if) normally in the river mersey for pike or normal course fish, but sometimes i will travel up to lymm dam for a go at the old carp... but i also do ALOT of beach casting in wales and since i was little my dad has ALWAYS had boats so we go on his boat atleast 4 times a month normally in prestatyne but last time we had an accident and had to call all emergency services and everythine (was in prestatyne paper) but now its winter we've moved the boat bak up to angelsey and have been fishing the menai straits for cod and whitein also i have spoke to my dad to get him to take me and his m8 thailand or sweden either thailand for sum hundred pound cat fish !! ^^ or sweden for sum big cod e.g. but i have been fishing in australia and new zealand for king fish very nice fish caught a few over there... anywayz to my point because im only younge i have decided that im not goin to stop fishing and have just ordered about £500 worth of tackle new rods reels e.g. and im goin to spend about £300 more on sum bite larms rod pods other bits n bobs and i was wondering if we have got any represensatives from any fishing makes that are lookin for a younge enthusiastic anglers to sponsor or give a sponsorship deal to... if so please reply please dont spam to much thanks -topps- !^-^!
  9. rofl i payed over £50 for a pair of jeans shopping is nearly trippel that a week! dno bout any1 else but that seems about right ?
