Hi Dave I am going to order one in Blaze and hopefully fit it out like the one on Anglers Afloat Project Prowler. I will have to get some practice in with the paddle as only been out with canoe and a Double Kayak half a dozen times before but done lots of rowing in the past, It will be all new really. I Dont want to end up as fish food so I will have to make sure I can handle it before I venture out to your Cod Mark with you. I hope I can show you around my area some time for the Bass I normaly use Sandeel and Bubble float its real good sport but in my chest waders not in a yak so it will be even better. The tide run is quit fast whats it like ancoring in a strong run is it OK Thanks Geoffd

Dave, that there circle of stones aint working, But I have now found a shop in Barrow Called TOP MARK sells Bikes, wind surfing gear, very large kites, and sit on Kayaks thats got the Prowler 13 and I dont know if I can wait for a Hobie sport. I realy like the look of the 13 but the only one that thay have at the moment is a Green one and I dont want that colour. I would be mowed down in no time in Walney Channel. After seeing pics of the cod I want a Kayak now before they have gone but I have always got the Bass to look forward too. hope them stones start working soon for you and the rain stops. Geoffd

Thanks for everyones advise and the cracks, The telescopic idea could be a good one, if I buy the hobie sport because of there limited storage in the bow lenth. The hard bit is finding good quality telescopic rods do you know any good makes/ models. Thanks Geoffd

Dave I am the tackle gatherer I was also into Freshwater match fishing and still have all that gear some carp gear, uptide rods beach casters umteen reels, poles fishing gear, seat boxes 3 off. I could have alook at some of the rods and see if I can modify for kayak use by shortening the butts. And I could well go for a 13 prowler I do like the look of them, they have nice lines. I have never owned a kayak before so its going to be all new to me. But I have been a boat owner Bonwitco 14ft, A Sea Nymth 17ft. Thanks Geoff

Can some of you experts give me some info on your chosen rods for bottom sea fishing shallow water upto 35ft. Spinning rod for bass, gar, mackrel, possible float rod for mullet, bass Thanks Geoffd

Thank you all for the welcome and info hope I can sell some things so I can buy the Hobie Sport Im 5ft.6. so hopefully the sport will be ok. SeadooDavid I hope we can have a go at the Bass together around foulney Island just of peil. I do ok off the shore but the yak would be superb, where do you fish and have you had much luck also one other thing what are the best size rods to use off a Kayak. Thanks again Geoffd

Hi I am new to this Kayak fishing and Hope to Buy one some time before summer. any one used a hobie sport with mirage drive. I would be using it around Roa Island, Peil Island, Sea permiting for spinning and bottom fishing. I have been Fishing for 30 years and this looks like it could be the most enjoyable method of all.
