tis not looking good at all ..... hes been in over 48 hours which is the max he could realistically survive. I wonder how the poor fella actually slept .. ? i would hate to have to fall asleep in any kayak. Cant imagine how he could sleep in one. God bless the guy and his poor wife ...

thought there would have been some mention on other websites and his official website the he is missing. The latest aussie site does mention he was not wearing his survival suit ... Lets all hope he is ok and is found soon ..!

Any Yakkers get caught out too .. ?? Sea anglers lose way in thick fog Coastguards rescued more than 50 sea anglers after they lost their way in thick fog on a beach near Prestatyn. The group became disorientated when fog descended while they were taking part in a competition at Talacre Beach. Most of the group were brought ashore after the alarm was raised at 1800 GMT on Saturday but five were still missing when the Coastguard made a head count. The missing men were finally guided back to shore using sirens on the Holyhead Coastguard Rescue vehicle. None of the men needed hospital treatment, and all were accounted for, said the Coastguard. The anglers were shore fishermen who follow the water line and cast their lines into the water, following the tide in and out. It is believed they were a long way out on a long, flat beach when the fog descended.

Hi all ... I am in the process of organising a Summer Special Fun day at Bridlington South shore beach, East Yorkshire in Late May / early June. Comprising of Fishing event with prizes for best catch etc. Will be food and refreshment vans available. Toilet etc nearby. Am Liasing with local council - Coatguard etc to iron out any problems i may encounter. Also in attendance will be a number of dealers showing off their Kayak Fishing wares for 2007. There are Camping areas nearby too... Will keep everyone informed via the website ... Hope to get reasonable attendance figures on the day. I attended a local Kite surf day show at same venue last august and there were hundreds in attandance + dealers - was a good day .! So no reason why a Kayak Fishing event shouldnt be as popular on the day. Thanks Keith www.kayakfishing.co.uk
