    Tiscali

Hello Nick I used to be with Libertysurf but they were taken over by tiscali and I've been with them from the start, there have been no problems so far. I am on the £14.99 a month option. I also use their Smart Talk phone line which is very cheap. Cheers

  7. Hi ya Dave I was taught that to get line onto your reel without getting it twisted you have to wind the line on, with line going onto the reel in the same direction as it comes off the spool. To do this it means that the line has to come off the side of the spool. I have always done it this way and it seems to work alright. I normally get the wife to hold the spool while I wind it onto the reel, much cheaper than gizmo's and, she also makes a nice cuppa.

  11. Thanks for the email Ferret, I thought I was in the right place but didn't go far enough down the lane. Cheers Keith.

  13. Hello Stick/Ferret I went to try and find your stretch of the Soar this morning. I found the gate to the gun club and their hut but where do you go from there? is it down the path that goes past the gun clubs hut? I asked one of the club members but he said there was another club in the next field. I'd like to come and have go some time. Cheers.

  15. Hi ya Nick Just a few thoughts on your pictures, as quite a few of them are basically "across" the frame scenes a letter box format may add some impact, it will also get rid of some of the dark fore grounds and some of the skies that are a bit big. Also try to get the main point of interest in the scene on one of the thirds, for example a third in from the right and a third up from the bottom. The sheep in the snow shot and, the croft at sunset scene would benefit from this third treatment. Objects framed on these thirds are visually pleasing and fit nicely in a 35 millimetre film format. If the pictures are to be commercialy printed one or two could do with a bit more punch by upping the contrast, but you could possibly liase with the printer on these points. Having said that I hope I haven't stuck my oar in to far and I wish you all the best.

  17. Hi ya Polly You'll find that the pictures are taken using a wide angle lens on the camera and anything close to the lens when the picture is taken gets over exaggerated due to the arrangment of the lens itself, the wider the lens the greater the effect. That's why carp anglers have normally got their arms outstretched when they have their picture taken to make the fish look bigger, it's an often used effect in commercial photography.

  19. I was taught to touch type on a course (between jobs) and now I have to type with my eyes shut unless I'm reading what I type, if I look down at the keys or the screen I instantly loose it.

  23. I use courtone because my surname is Courtney and courtone seemed to fit with my fishing pastime. I have a nephew who had courtany until he went onto AOL and they called him USER something or other. It's remarkable how these handles can be made to fit people, my son in law is a RSM in the Queens Royal Hussars and for his email name he managed to get "whos'r"
