Well now i know nothing changes in the NHS! ,went for a chest xray yesterday .Last time i went the radiographer was a dark-skinned chap whos English was second or third down the list .Not bothered what colour people are if they do their job this bloke couldnt ! My xrays never appeared at the doctors whos office is less than a hundred feet away! just getting to the hospital cost £30 taxi there and back to get the xray of my foot so i wasnt pleased when i asked the results line and they asked if i had had the xray Anyway on arriving at the reception the receptionist asks me my name i told her it ,she said can you spell it ,i spelt it ,can you pull down your mask ,i repeated it again! She said take a seat . I spotted the same radiographer sitting with his feet up playing solitaire on his pc as i went to the loo . 10 minutes later a man came in and went through the exact same thing i did ,the receptionist couldnt hear his details and he was asked to pull down his mask and then told to take a seat . 20 minutes a woman came in and (the reception is c8ft from the row of seats so you can hear everything) and asked her name etc and asked to pull down her mask .....trouble is she wasnt wearing one !. I guess the receptionist has a hearing problem ! Anyway half an hour later our radiographer strolls in and says Henry and looks around no-one responds so off he goes and ten minute comes back in and repeats it ,no response so he wanders off and returns 5 mins later goes into the receptionists and comes back out and looks around and says henry . The waiting trio look at each other the woman says do you mean Brianritt (unusual name) yes he says she goes in then immediatly comes back . Again the chap goes into the receptionist booth and has a conversation she points directly at me and he comes out ,Henry he says . I say my middle name is henry he says come with me ! He seems quite irate and starts guiding me by the arm . I said if you wanted to get the attention of someone why dont you use the right surname ! .He mutters something in foreign ! The xray took seconds i had waited near on an hour to get it ,no-one had come out so i guess this chap wanted to enjoy his game before actually being bothered to do his job i expect hes well paid to do it i hope the other two got theirs before they shut for dinner! .So we had two problems here one was a receptionist who couldnt hear well and a radiographer who couldnt talk well .It will be a surprise if the xray gets back to the docs ,i wonder if his credentials from the big school in kenya were actually checked and whilst they are at it get your idiot receptionists hearing checked as well! I cannot fault the doctors i was contacted within half an hour of doing the online consultation and asked if i could get in by 10.30 ,i couldnt so got an appointment the next day (yesterday) bloods and the xray were on demand but i find it strange they close the xray dept for dinner they dont do much as it is perhaps a simple pc game takes more time than they get to finish their sarnies? PS the tv in the other room still isnt being used ,it probably cost 10 times what its worth but i am sure now its been bought it could be turned on now and again . Theres an ipad on a stand in the corridor with a big cardboard display in front of it ,thats not been switched on EVER (theres another one in the main hall hidden the same way originally they had a sign saying information we tried many times to see what they did before they were hidden) i guess its beyond the staff to actualy plug it in and in the doctors surgery theres a 12" screen that only plays the local radio station noting else (luckily at a dull murmur) , not enough funding for the NHS? pull the other leg!

There seems to be a pumpkin code around here where kids are not supposed to approach a house if theres no pumpkin outside .It generally works but the greed for carrier bags full of sweets to be taken home overcomes some so we just close the gate and watch the disapointment on the cctv . Theres a few kids in the street but its mostly older people with grown up kids or old fogies like us who kids have long fled the nest who kids most likely annoy old fogies like us elswhere.. As a kid i dont remember doing it and guising is a scottish tradition ,my mum was scottish ! It seems to have got much bigger in the south over the decades but they dont try as much costume wise .

Well now i know i need to improve my locks ,The usual coach pulled up at the end of the road to disgorge mostly plain clothed trick or treaters (it may have been two there was a huge throng of brats all at once ! )You could hear them fighting over the sweets two doors away then a mass stampede to the only other house with a pumpkin on display further along Who these kids are we dont have a clue theres a few adults ,in flouro with torches front and back so we guess its not the local school thats just a couple of hundred yards away. So it must be another one from elswhere plundering the village kids treats? Ofcourse they sucked dry any sweets and disapeared back up the road very noisily ,i crept down to see the coach i presume go to the next village to rape that? The most anoying thing was we latch our gate and an illuminated sign says humerous things about visitors not entering . We enjoy hearing the moans when A theres no pumpkin and B heres no lights on to show theres a sucker offering to give them free sweets (something parents hopefully warn their kids about 364 days of the year) but this year a damned adult reached over the gate and unlatched it and held it open whilst their brats invaded our garden and thumped on the door to be ignored ! They wont find it so easy next year theres going to be a padlock on it ! Our only reward was hearing the brats crying when they found there was no sweets left at the other two houses ,they should leave earlier and get there first ! PS we're not misers we used to entertain the idea of sweets or threats but when one kid steals a tenners worth of sweets and then egged my car i changed my mind and they can go bugger themselves! Back then the cameras were crap and you couldnt id someone in broad daylight never mind in the dark but now..........thinking about it i didnt recognise anyone and we destinctly saw car headlights half way up the road so even they may not have been locals the youngest kicked our door we thought it was a loud knock until we viewed the image of the porch today . they may find fox crap on the gate next year chesters1 holds grudges for life!

I remember our holiday in france the key for the safe didnt work ,a chambermaid opened it with a bit of stiff wire through a hole in the side ,i looked at the safe in our kids room and one was there aswell i suspect they all had them ! I did see a youtube vid someone opening a modern digital safe by merely dropping it on a bed ,safes aint that safe How would the insurance company know what was in the safe so as to insure the contents ? Well unless the chambermaid told them when you were out down the beach

Update our really old freezer still waits to be fixed (the tools that are needed went out of stock on amazon and being far more expansive than most i will wait until they come back into stock) it looks now the spring is going to be the next oppertunity. The small freezer that had the electronic thermostat still works fine but waits its time in the shed ,it was used in the summer at the annual family barbeque but quickly adjusted to be a fridge to store the burgers etc . The brand new freezer i bought is tiny inside (told you) to get the capacity its far higher than the old one so the repaired working one wont fit on top .......its junk who on earth designs freezers with plastic drawers they wont last i can assure you and it seems to freeze solid just opening it .I thought it was the thermometer cable letting in warm air but its the same with wireless ones so just poorly made it weighs empty half what the old one did so i guess theres far less actual metal in it to make it solid. Both freezers now have smart sockets on them which show the energy use via wireless to my tablet (as does the fridge) and its obvious doors let out far more cold air than lids it uses a third more electric than the chest freezer and its been defrosted 4 times since we bought it the old one every 6 months! Waiting for a month of fridge power usage then i will replace its plug with an old "energy saving" plug thats been on our freezers since as long as i can remember (not on the new one its still under warranty) it will be interesting if they really work in real life i think our original one came from Bejam which shows its age now i will see if it was worth while using them. Sadly i have fallen into the "smart" hole i used to poo poo the thought of remotely controlling your thermostat (why not just turn the knob down the way out and up on the way in)? But smart has advantages my main camera tells Alexa someone is at the gate and Alexa switches on the floodlight (its switch is smart and it comes on at 4 pm and goes off at 10pm or the foxes turn it on all the time) and turn on the porch light . So rather than leave it on it only comes on if a human is present saving dosh . Now both sheds have smart plugs plus all the tech attached to the living room tv can be switched on just by telling Alexa (as can all of them) fat people dont stay fat if they have to switch on a switch whatever next now if i can find an app that uses eye blinks to talk to Alexa it would be great! speaking is so tiring lol Just realised i must be posting on two seperate threads? ,i started this one about a small freezer with an obselete thermostat then later waffled about the one it sat on which died or rather didnt it just couldnt get colder than -15 running continually this is the one waiting to be fixed the small one is fine . Since a certain crew at the uni devised a method of stealing credit card details (perfectly legal research) i first stated wrapping my cards in tin foil which defeated the tech of the time (it caught the data stream in the chip which it uses to connect to recievers in card doodas in shops etc),after that i graduated to a home made foil covered sleeve that wasnt so eyecatching as removing foil wrapped round your card . Taking money isnt new skimming is old hat but easy to pin down if you keep an eye on your app! My sister had money taken at a local petrol station .Using RFID is completely safe ! Then a graphite coated commercial version .Then RFID / NFC safe wallets become cheap enough to buy but i have always wondered how they work there is no obvious rustle of foil so i guess its a graphite cloth or perhaps nothing at all (how could you know withough cutting one up? ) so i thought i would up the tech to a RFID defeating card which on having a snooping RFID / NFC signal near it sends out another to baffle it . Now before i post the vid even if you can clone the card you need the pin number which isnt that hard to get by crims standing nearbye but the biggest problem is non contact cards that are handed out willy nilly by banks insisting they are safe ! Losing up to £100 ?and rarely challenged you could walk down the street collecting lots of filthy lucre and safely your card doesnt vibrate when its using its chip to hand out cash. Then theres the ID chestnut its not hard to print cards every school and collage probably has their own by now and cheap enough for crims to buy and they know doubt will be able to make a very good copy that would fool most if ID cards were mandatory and you were mandated to carry them a crim could harvest all the data and knowing the crap tech the authourities use half the time the mobile scanners wont connect back and produce a picture of the holder (A copper tried it with my driving licence and failed ).NOW you can look at the vid and see how easy it is to grab all your details from ANYTHING start your car open your electric safe all they have to do is get close enough to fool your card into handing it all over . But PHEW in the case of the RFID defeating cards they work at the moment In another vid involving a hacker he knows they bought a device from china for $1.80 programmed it put it in a box and sent it to a company .The clever bit was it made it look like it was a free wifi service so the staff thought it was provided by the company and imput their names and passwords which the card kept in memory and used the companies wifi to send back to the hacker ,it sat in the mailroom for a few days collecting data before innocently being returned to sender (prob a po box?)as the recipient at the company couldnt be found , one is doing it weeks later!

Blimey do they live in fields perhaps they are rare because obese anglers like myself squash them going to the river! I did find a trout in the field once perhaps it was visiting a loach? , it's strange how knowledge is overlooked by 'researchers' if its not in the first three bits in google thats it .And history buffs just use hearsay if thats faulty (like concocted results from amatuer victorian historians ) then their spoutings are faulty. Rivers change direction it's obvious digging in the field next to it ,in the future if left alone the new arch will silt up and the old one come to the fore again if the river returns to its previous course When i was at surrey uni we experimented with tracking an eel ,not so easy back then but a simple setup ,gps transmitter running on a battery .We ofcourse didnt have miniaturisation like today so had to use what was available a gps transmitter the size of a thermos flask and a 400 amp car battery ! Or in my case stevia or xylitol or some other sweetener (stevia is like saccarin it has a bitter aftertaste ) I think the gov should force manufacturers to remove sugar AND salt in processed food its pretty hard finding low sugar and salt food and if they dont put it in they charge you more for not doing it they wonder why theres more obese but do nothing to control companies bunging in sugar in huge amounts they should be forced to list sugar and salt in teaspoons added grams are a little vague . Yes you can cook from fresh and control the amount but it dont stack so well in cupboards for later use! If my mrs cooked from fresh i would die of boredom she cooks every bit of taste out of anything ! If shes not burning holes in pans !

What is wrong with this company ,i enjoy lemon tea but being diabetic sugar is the problem .I spotted some tubs of lift for 50p for 6 so bought 2 x 6 tubs, on arrival i noticed per 100 gm there was 78.3gm of sugar .They are waiting to be given to daughter . On going back to the seller i noticed there was the same deal but in a "reduced sweetness" form (noticed it was sweetness not sugar at the time and thought it strange) i ordered 6 x 6 on finishing one tub i looked at the ingrediants its got more sugar in per 100gm there's 78.9gm! Am I missing something? Theres a tiny less salt but since when has salt been sweet?
