Damn and i thought i had it bad

Don't get me wrong it's not all boaters that are the trouble. There are still alot of them that where possible will move to the far side and slow down with a quick "Sorry". It's the small minority that seem to think they have sole rights to the water. But thats enough whining, the misses is already calling me Victor.

I've had a few half decent fish out but i must admit it's been slow to get going.

As far as i'm concerned canals are for fishing on and all BARGES should be banned.

Being a regular visitor to the local stretch of canal I am use to the odd boat going through & have learn to egnore them. But today had me frothing at the mouth. :mad: :mad: Having managed to keep my swim going with the unusual amount of traffic I was not too happy when a barge came along with 2 youngsters standing at the front fishing of the sides and another one stearing, who knew nothing about speed limits. To make matters worse one of them managed to snag his tackle in a bush & by the time they had manovered their way into a postion to get the rig out of the bush both mine & my mates swim had been wrecked beyond salvaging. Needless to say a few choice words were exchanged between us & their parents before we left.

I've been fishing for 19 years on and off. My dad got me started in the local club match fishing but i'd rather pleasure fish now.
