  1. Prestun X3 Box I Have just bought yhe x3 and a am delighted with it, as i do a lot of match fishing i can hold up to about 60 pole rigs, 4 reels in the bottom box and if i use there accesorrys well thers no end to what i can put on it, but one peice of advice is dont use the ground bait bows as they are to heavy for the legs an can buckle the legs. But all in all its an A1 box

  8. Hi To All Just been to my local tackle shop today to get some ESP size 10's hooks, when i got home i noticed that they were larger than Kanassan size 10 hooks (more like a 8's). is this the normall or do carping hook vary in the sizes compred to standard hooks Thanks
  9. Rob for som feason i cant PM you, im interested in a landing net please can you email me on ramc195@aol.com Thanks
  10. I have a Shimono Technium XTA 13m pole elastice rating is 20 though i only use 16's or 18's and i have quite easley landed carp up 15lb on it, but as a rule most Shimano poles are designed to handle a nice size fish.
  11. What size un hooking mat and landing net should i be looking at as there is such a vast amount of sizes on the market, is it a case of the bigger the better.
  12. My budget is around £150 for a two rod set up, but i will have to find extra cash for the large landing nets, (as the match one that i have at the moment has a hard job getting a 5ld carp in let alone any thing bigger) and terminal tackel that i will need, one thing that has come to my mind is that of unhooking mats should you always use one or can you get away with not using one.
  13. Hi to all I have been on a few of my local lakes and fisherys with a couple of my mates who do a lot of carp fishing, and i have caught the bug ( i did do match fishing ) The problem i have is that my mates are so secretive about any of ther kit that they wont let me know any do's and dont's. So this is where i turn to you fellow carpers can any body advise me on what sort of rods, reels, line tackle and setups which would be best for me and the best web sites to check out. But i am on a slight budget though. The Lakes and local fisherys i have been to mainly consist of carp between 5lb to 15ld but some mid 20's have been comeing out on a regular matches also most of them have a clay base and are between 4 to 6 feet deep . If some body can help me i would be very thank full
