  1. just havin a wee read there mark , an thinkin : when am i goin to make an effort and get myself [ invited i hope ]down to one of down south meets ,a smashin bunch of people i could do with sound advice , from a safety point [ for a stsrt ] and the pleasure of numbers. ..another great read mark , and just know that other members on here will be thinkin the same.. billy
  2. look clive ,when did I ask for your advice ?? , cos its not in any posts i did you said my bungee was at wrong end of kayak , then it was explained that i / most people anchor from the back [essexbuoy ] in which he was right in saying ..cos i do ! then you said bungee was : JUST A GIMMICK: so it doesnt act as a shock absorber, just to take strain off of my fixings you might have a point there but i dont know anyone who,s done a bungee jump with a rope tied !!.. as far as your advice goes clive ,mabee a wee clam cleat or two, now lets put this to bed billy
  3. smashin read and great pics mark , keep up the good work
  4. my choice ....ah yes think i will get back to fishing from my kayak now billy
  5. its obvious you want last word on this. all i want to do is fish from ma yak... so do yourself a favour .keep away from my posts cause i know your type... get some fish time in ,
  6. hi again lads , thats a nice wee set up you have there .. and great pics i like to keep it simple really drilling holes in this kayak doesnt fill me with joy !! to much clutter thinngs around/under feet.. i see you have a couple of spare [holes ] there ?? this fishing from kayaks is easy , if you find something that works for you then why change it!... when your anchored off theres not much chance its goin t move back up. for me its the goin in the water im more prepared for ..and to much around me is kept to a minimum ps the bungee is just to take the stress of the fastenings and not the anchor cord cheers my good man billy
  7. hi clive ,nice to meet you, thanks for advice ,just like the man said ,i anchor the back of yak have been in open sea with yak ..and so far[ so good ] and been fine ! but bungee at back might be better,as yet no probs ... on the revolution there is bungee style handles that holds the paddle in place on the left [where i always anchor from ] i simply put one turn of trolley cord and then bungee down ..that seems to hold it ...but you have me thinkin now!! billy
  8. THE FAMOUS GLASGOW RANGERS my good man

  12. hi ken its good to know you can take kayak on board 'virgin to the rescue again ! i love to fish so the idea of taking my baby with me makes my next holiday to south india [ december till march ] much more fishable ....you asked about fishing india 'i was just in goa for break 'took a couple of shimano travel rods [ as you do ] fishing river mouths 'bridges 'and a little offshore by boat ''catching mostly catfish n crabs but the odd snapper or mj will pull good .. taste nice !!. found out that live prawn is the only way to catch ;will take cast-net next time. the beauty of taking your yak means you can take better gear with you [ inside yak]... tnx for reply ken
  13. good topic my fellow yaker 'just came back from fishing trip to south india' all the good fishing spots are never where you can get to 'so a kayak would get you there for sure ..will ask the question next time i get away..it will make for a better holiday and no wet/dry suits needed ..
