  1. Not here in south wales its not its Sh1t!!!!!!......some whiting, some doggies, some pout and a few small cod.......i would say its the worst year in 20+ yrs of fishing for me and my mates!! Tightlines.....
  2. At the moment my favorite is my Century kompressor Match followed by my Tip tornado match.I have recently placed an order for a pair of custom built Kompressor sports as i am fishing more rough ground now so i might change my mind!! I have had a few zipplex rods but wont get another as they went "floppy" on me so i will stick to Century. For a cheaper choice of rod my favorite has to be my Daiwa supercast sts13pm.....also a quality rod....this is now used by my lad when he fishes with me ,but i wont give it to him!...as i love it! 3. I have signed this but on a sour note, what chance have we got to stop this when they charge other govt departments such as the MOD for their licences? Tightlines.....
  4. Hi,i would second the recomendation of the Gemini mould,i have two....quality piece of kit. I have also just got a Namix mould on a recommendation, havent made any leads with it yet but it looks good and a few of my mates have them and rate them highly. As for a melting pot,i use a stainless steel milk pan that has a pouring lip, hence no need for a ladle.I picked this up at a boot sale 2 yrs ago for 50p....A real bargain....For the heat source i use a propane fired bitumin pot burner that i also got at a bbot sale for a £5!! Good luck...making your own is the way forward!! Tightlines

  8. These rt beach buddies are a good piece of kit.I have had mine for 3 years and it has survived and protected me in some horrendous winds and downpours!! A tip for using on piers/breakwaters :- Take along a few smallish buckets and a lenght of cord (dropnet rope if you use one!) fill the buckets with water then the shelter can be anchored down to these as well as guyed to the railings.I have done this numerous times on all night sessions on mumbles pier in swansea. The wind will come through the bottom a little but you have protection from the elements,a real home from home and a godsend on a 12 hour allnighter!! 9. Hi,its not really ethical to target small cod,and remember the size limits if you intend to keep them! As for your question try peeler crab on a 1 or 1/0 hook that will also target any flatties/bass etc. Tightlines.................
