A lot of the UK's economic problem is down the influences of Greed and Jealousy on either side of thr great Left/Right divide. I would say that the biggest contributors are 'The Welfare State' and Socialism. No amount of theorising will get us out of the mess we are in. The only solution is good old-fashioned wealth-producing WORK. No amount of non-productive-jobs creation will work. A start could be made by putting all those regulators that Brown and Blair have employed in the last 12 years to work, harvesting crops instead of importing EU labour. £2.3Bn is said to be sent home by immigrants every year. It's about time the countryfolk-bashing stopped, and they were allowed to contribute their full capability again. DIG FOR VICTORY was never in such need!

We had several coloured boys in the same class in the 50's. Lots of G.I.'s were stationed here, prior to D-Day. One was named Raymond, after Sugar Ray Robinson, and is still known as Sugar to this day. One was called Sooty and is still know by that name now, but then he is a chimney sweep by profession.
