These inflatable kayaks don't take kindly to sharp object like hooks I would go for something less prone to deflating.

Hears a question for Dean Macey. Have you tried freshwater fishing from a boat(canoe) before & would you be prepared to try a session from one? if yes then let me know & will try & arange a session on the river chelmer .

I find a 10' boat a little short to fish from, I use a 14' open canoe which I can transport on to of the car as well as to &from the water. the extra room help to store gear & have more then one fishing position.

I may live in Essex, most of my Kayak/canoe fishing is done around the coast near me, but have you thought of giving the Essex coast a try.
