  1. hiya. i havent been on for ages so im back now! right, i got a problem! does anybody know of a good hooklength material to use when surface fishing? i hane tried daiwa supersensor, e.s.p ghost monofil, and about 3 other types so can anybody help me out? many thanx b's
  2. try www.dreamlakes.com
  3. it stinks in both ways!!!
  4. as far as i know it all depends on the colour of its flanks and silver bream have a more silvery colour set but bronze bream when at that size have more reddy coloured flanks b's
  5. what did ajp mean...? sorry im slow. lol.
  6. i was carping at Holwell Hyde and had a two rod set up with both rods with baitrunners on which were switched on and i still managed to have both rods, rod pod, bite alarm & swingers dragged in but luckilly only into shallow water so it was easilly retrievable. to my astonishment the fish that dragged all that in was only about 3lb. i was expecting a heavier fish to be able to do that much damage.. boilies
  7. hiya mikey. those methods you said would probably work effectively but mabey not so much this time of the year. my best advice would be to: 1. find a nice flat swim with lots of space from other anglers(diving you more room to explore the lake) 2. choose where you want to put your bait. i would suggest having one rod put out close to an island if there is one. and one further in. 3. bait: try if you can a dull coloured boilie or large pellet fished over dead maggot and small pellets. 4. technique. a standard bolt rig should work. hope the advice comes in handy, good luck tight lines. boilies
  8. that is one of the main problem with fisheries today is the amount of kids who fish them that have no idea how to fish. they make so much noise and leave a lot of litter. that is why i only fish with people of a similar age to me (14ish) and who know how to fish and behave and concentrate.
  9. i remember seeing something on tv on the discovery channel or animal planet or one of those channels it was showing the people who kill carp shooting them with bow and arrows and they said they do it becoz they eat stuff burried in the banks which causes particles of mud to erode away and discolour the water and eventually the banks collapse. happy new year!!! boilies

  11. hi kev. i do often fish for chub in the winter and sometimes im successfil sometimes im not nad most of the time i am successfull i have caught on carp pellet wraped in a layer of bread. i have also tryed cheesepaste aswell but not as successfully as bread or pellets. and also snags are a big problem.and to solve his i would use a on line lead sutch as a peirced ball held in place with a small shot or two and if you want some tubing aswell. good luck and have a great trip from b's
  12. hiya all... im back!!! i havent been on for ages now as io moved house and had complications setting the internet up!!! anyway back to the mauin subject of this post... the Okuma Interceptor reel. 1 word to describe it... EXCELLENT. i got two of them for christmas to replace my old Shimano 6000's and i find the okumas much more reliable and at less than half the price much more efficient and good value for money. i would deffonately recomend this reel. it is a baitfeeder type fixed spool reel finished in metal and double handled and even better in 5 sizes... HIGHLY RECOMEND IT!! FIND OUT MORE AT http://www.nwac.co.uk bubi from b's
