  1. This makes me sick to be honest.. over 10 million people died in WWII due to the Nazis invading Poland. Britain along with many other countries helped free these people from the German oppressors.. now we are treating them with utter contempt complaining about the Eastern Europeans at every opportunity... This guy needs shooting with his own **** and prosecuting to the full extent of the law.. he is no better than a Nazi.... The thing that most forget is that carp were brought to this country as a food source in the first place.......
  2. I would just stick with a dead or live bait, nowt like a mackerel to get those pike going...
  3. Could you give a little more info as to you what you are trying to do please. Have you built a site on your own server or are you using an hosted server?
  4. Ebay is your best bet, but why stay at a measly 512mb? I recently put a 16gb card in my blackberry, I like to keep the images backed up on it.
  5. I don't think there is anything specific for me nowadays but when I was a nipper I spent weeks trying to catch a huge trout that used hang out in the same spot every day in the local river, I tried worms, spinners, maggots... he was never interested... finally one day I caught the blighter using a couple of woodlice....
  6. This is exactly the same as the Ron Thompson version which I have found to be of very poor quality. In fact this pod is sold under many names. The fittings where you attach rod rests to become loose, the grub screws will not tight, the main section which holds the buzz bars slides from side to side and will not tighten. The whole pod wobbles and does not feel stable at all. Took it back to tackle shop and exchanged it for a stainless steel pod
  7. I have been toying with various baits a lot recently, here are a few that have or have not really worked so well... Sweetcorn, ok for smaller carp, fed 2 pieces on a sz 12 hook seems to be producing a lot of 1 - 3lb'rs Bread has not been good round my area of late, getting pecked to bits by smaller fish before large carp have had chance to get to it. I have been making pellet style baits out of luncheon meat or potato as well. Using a piece of 15 mm copper tube makes good selective size pellets of either. Try really spicing the luncheon meat up with a good dose of paprika, chili and all spice powder, leave for a couple of days before use so the spices have plenty of chance to soak into meat. Same for spuds, cut some 15 mm pellets again and soak for a few days in coffee, oxo and various spices. Finally, a bait that has been working very well, take a trip to Lidl and get some of their mini salamis, spiced or smoked. cut into 1 inch long pieces us off cuts to add a pva bag full on cast... A very tough long lasting hook bait that will put up with carp knocking it about, you can try taking a few pieces and again adding a few extras to them.

Prepare for a resounding defeat chaps... I sincerely hope hop-along Flintoff does not suffer from gammy leg syndrome again..
  9. Glad I am not the only one thinking this, I think they are ok for a spot of silver fish bashing but on a 20lb carp.... nah.. The amount of slip and rip they cause is terrible....
  10. wow, that is why I am finding it hard to get involved in threads on the forum then, may be best to leave joining in for now then
  11. I cannot seem to view profiles, send pm's and my posts never appear? Have I been banned?
  12. What is the extent of the mouth damage? What size of fish are you fishing for as well? In my experience mouth damage is caused in various ways, most commonly I have found that smaller barbless hooks tend to slip causing tears or rips, this is one reason I never use barbless hooks on specimen size carp. I can never understand the logic of thinking that barbless hooks are less damaging than barbed.....
  13. How do ascertain that class has anything to do with it?
