  1. Hi guys i have just been given a rod by a freind and just wanted some information about it. The rod was made by henry w aiken of london the model is a 9 ft ledger master. Any information on this rod will be apreciated. Thanks.
  2. Hi guys just been having a sort out and come across an old D.A.M 9ft fighter multipicker rod do you think it is worth the time and effort to restore it or should i just not bother? If i remember correctly it was quite a nice little bomb rod. Also where would i be able to get spare tips to fit it?
  3. finished an evening session in style I BROKE MY ROD! rather a fish broke my rod. let me paint the picture for you i was fishing the free stretch of river kennet for chub+ hopeing for barbel cast to a overhanginig tree had to wait no more than ten minuits for a bite the fish i assume was a barbel but cant say as i did not see itwas playing it for about ten minuits (really gave me the run around) then on the next run straight through some weed beds the top section of my barbel rod snapped then the hook pulled.! to say ime gutted is an understatement! have the job of trying to obtain a replacement top section to my rod! what a day!

    Rods

hi guys i own several rods from the dragon carp stable specificly the avanti rods and they are great value for money and pretty good performers as well you cant go far wrong with there rods. plus the postage aint half bad either.
  5. hey guys just looking for some info, does anyone know if the stretch of river(lambourne/kennet) near trinity svhool in newbury berks controlled by any clubs?
  6. hey guys had quite a good session on bishops green farm lake yesterday catching loads of carp but most of them were quite small the best one i had was about seven pounds. as boilies are banned i was using 14mm halibut pellets on the carp rod and corn on fhe feeeder(to which i caught all of my fish on bar one!) any ideas on how i can go about cathing the better carp that are in residence?
  7. when fishing for chub on small rivers i generally tend to use corn or lob worms on the hook and lunchen meat from time to time but when bites are hard to come by i will switch over to a spicy shrimp and crab boilie as i have caught loads of chub on this but beware if there are barbel in your stretch of river as they luv'em too.
  8. hey guys has anyone fished the lake at bishops green in newbury? i cant seem to find any info on it! is it any good?
  9. thanks for the welcome. forur of the perch were about a pound and a half so not to bad dont really fish the weirpool that much the only thing i managed to catch in there was a shoping basket! the canal side of the weir does big perch though ive had a 2 1/2 pounder out of there last season!
  10. hi dont know about any chairs with a built in rod rest but most decent company's like diawa, tfg, korum etc all have models with accessory's such as feeder arms and butt rests. look out for the diawa mission chair its decent quality and only costs about £30!
