  9. Hi again everyone! Planning on going fishing on monday but the tackle shop I normally go to seems to have closed down their website and I cant find any opening times on the web anymore. Does anyone know if it has closed down. It is Great Baits on windmill avenue in ormskirk. Also has anyone got any tips on fishing a commercial fishery in this time of year? Thanks everyone!
  10. Mainly its being sat down with the person who you have wronged, which im sure would be the fishery owner, a mediators job is to be neutral and ask questions that get the wronged persons feelings and opinions across to the wrong doer and vice versa, they begin to see eye to eye and the mental effect of the is actually a very powerfull deterent, and I'm sure if they'r sick enough to carry on re offending after that they deserve to get put away in a dark room for a very very long time, however prison isnt actually working most of the time now it's gotten too soft, I'm not saying the prison should go altogether, I just think that restorative justice should be tried on the first offence. That might do the trick
  11. I must say that I agree with the form of punishment, I am a trained mediator, which means doing a course on restorative justice. I also speak at confrences about the topic, this line of punishment both embarasess the wrong doer and deters them from doing it again, restoritive justice is proven to deter people more than prison, plus the fine plus the non paid work will make sure that they never do anything like this again without thinking to themselves, hang on what happened last time, and because they dont want to go through the entire process again they will most likely decide not to do it.
  12. Is that stretch free to fish on?
  13. I have just been looking around the forum and there's not alot about fishing the river mersey, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good spots, perhaps up by the weir at woolston, I've noticed a large stretch that seems to be an overflow, can you fish this? Thanks for any info
  14. I think prison sentences should have an increased length, be really tough on prisoners, like prison guards should be able to push them about, after all it's their fault that they are in there in the first place. Also I think the death sentence should be brought back.
  15. Makes perfet sense. Do tackle shops sell silicone tubing? Thanks

  19. is it true that if you disturb the silt in your swim it will attract bottom feeders to see what morsels of food have been surfaced by the disturbance?
  20. 23. Hi, I was think of having a go at feeder fishing, never done it before, never thought about doing it before, can you use a float fishing rod for it, if so would I need a bite detector or could I just watch the tip of the rod. Also any informstion about how to set up the rig would be appreciated Thanks
  24. ahh, takes me back to one of my first fishing trips I was ten, caught 9 or 10 perch on maggots, had a little bit left at the end so I poured some in just in front of my peg, and I could see a frenzy of perch feeding on them so I put one remaining maggot I had left in my box on my hook, just dipped the hook in and got a bite straight away, good times. decent size to me at the time, but now I realise they were all under 1lb.
