  1. Either one or a mixture of both will do me, can't wait
  2. John, thanks for the encouragement I'm always on the look out for a sustainable source of pebbles and it sounds like your neighbour may have just the job on his path and half way down the street by the sounds of it. Can you send me a sample and I'll get 'legals' to check their origin if they have originated from a Brazilian rain forest we're OK but if it's B&Q I'm afraid I can't use them because they have the sole rights to sell them for extreme pebble skating by the kids and they can't be used for any other purpose Graeme
  3. Budgie, We have a deal on the sponsorship front I'll get marketing to come up with a few designs, could you also consider wearing an eye patch as long as it is polorised of course My product development team have considered your request for a big cat camo ledger and suggest the following; Source the paving flag (sorry we can't use a paving stone as someone else thought of that first) from a peg at your local fishery, that way the fish will have seen it before when previously caught and un-hooked on the bank and it won't arouse suspicion. We’d recommend a 2 x 2 flag rather than a 3 x 2 as it is obviously more aerodynamic and will cast further, also splash less on entry. You may need to upgrade to a 5lb test curve rod and at least 15lb braid in order to not look stupid when casting out into your swim. You’ll also need a 3 x 3 glug pot if you want to dip the weight prior to casting (we have hundreds of those in our tackle shop) Finally if you can locate where the cat is sleeping there is a good chance you could clip up your reel to cast on top of it and possibly hit the fish thus stunning it into submission at which point you can then wade out and collect your prize.............oh and while you’re there pick up the flag because it maybe a bit difficult to retrieve Remember you saw it here first Graeme (aha Jim lad)
  4. Cheers for the feedback glad you're pleased with the weights, the T shirts are a great idea however I may need the marketing team to check who has the copyrights on the message before going into full scale production Best inventions sorry mean't intentions Graeme.
  5. Hi Elton and all on AN, It's Graeme here the pebble making pirate Right let's put this one to bed once and for all, firstly I have not sold fishing weights for profit infact our fellow angler Neil was/is my first customer and if you look at the link Mr Ward posted it takes you to my humble website and you get a free downloadable PDF one how to make a pebble weight step by step. The point I make on the site is that IF you can't be bothered making your own I'll make them for you at a small cost, if I wanted to become the next Alan Sugar then surely it's not good practice to give all your product secrets away in a easy to follow 'how to guide' As a result of my first 'sale' I have asked the buyer for feedback so have I therefore consequently appointed him as my product development consultant To be clear I will ammend my website shortly to say 'if you want me to make you some pebbles then send me an email with what you require and I will make them free of charge if you cover the costs of materials and postage which should equate to about 75p each' I will also consider removing the Paypal checkout facility so it doesn't appear that I'm openly selling them for profit. Personally I couldn't care less what commercial organisations think of me sharing good practice with fellow anglers and if then wanted to take it further then bring it on Finally thought.............who has the patent of cage feeders? Take a Goole search on Freddys Fantastic Feeders as recommended on a certain Barbel anglers website. Is Freddy trying to make a million? I doub't it he seems like most of us to be a genuine angler who has the skills to make something that will help other anglers catch fish which is what we all want to do isn't it? Anyone who wants some FREE of any profit fishing pebble weights handmade to order get in touch and I'll gladly make them for you. Cheers, Graeme (aka the pebble pirate )

  8. A cracking Chub Anderoo well done indeed!! Was out myself on Sunday 2nd in much milder conditions than the snowy week before (see picture below), and only managed a couple of cheeky chub to around the 2lb mark on a smelly cheese paste near enough first chuck, the river was very coloured though and I put in plenty of crumb followed by a nice bit of flake but it didn't get looked at even a couple of the finest lobs didn't get a sniff despite keeping on the move and resting the swims I'm thinking they are feeding purely on scent in those conditions? Anyway well done and a great start to the new year
  9. Hi all newbie to AN here, just booked the time off work and hoping to join you all next year for the Wingham Fish-In. I was pointed in the right direction by my work collegue Rob Ward who also happens to be a Wingham sindicate member and long time AN member. Recently Rob and myself have blanked in style on the river Ribble but we aim to do better and try harder over the forthcoming holiday period Looking back at the posts on this fish-in I can see why people travel great distances to be there, the BBQ and good company is the main draw for me as I'm very skilled at blanking in style and to be honest it doesn't bother me aslong as I'm in front of nice bit of natural scenery. Started getting the right gear together on the advice of Mr Ward and just hoping to put it to good use next May at Wingham, speak to you all (hopefully in person) soon. Graeme. PS Now I've booked the time off work I'll need to get the equivalent pass out of her indoors.......time to look for a nice Christmas present I think
