Fished the Severn on the island at Holt fleet,got the end peg down stream on the tip of the island,got there at 2:30am and there where already 2 lads fishing on the double pegged weir,they must of s**t them selves when i came trolling down the steps with my tilley lamp blazing away,anyway caught 1 4lb bream and had a proper zoo monster run off down stream,couldnt do a thing with it till is snagged me,water was warm with a slight brown tinge,looked good but hey ho,till next time

Heading off down to the Severn around Bewdley,Holt fleet etc on wednesday evening,kip in the car then on the bank at 12 with a small rocket and a hip flask of Jack Daniels,1 tot for me and the rest for the river

Araldite 2 part epoxy resin is the "glue" you used,also you will need a masonary drill bit to drill the hole and dont use a percussion drill as this will split the stone,pretend your drilling your bathroom tiles

Thanks Ken/Theme man,I did a bit of a recce yesterday (saturday),decided to give my motorbike a run out down to there and yes your right not many pegs but a lone angler ,what about the opposite bank where the little brick hut is ?? who's card is that on ? if not where ? ,I dont fancy Hampton Loade again after blanking there last opening day after being bombarded by giant swim feeders from anglers on the BAA bank opposite all bloody day

Iam thinking of giving Holt Fleet a whirl on the 16th,anyone know the score with fishing "the island" over the lock gates ??
