hi looking for somewere to do a bit of coarse fishing was thinking of joining the midclyde ass,any info\would be greatly appreciated i dont know my way about up still think its at dalmarnock bridge to bothwell bridge,how far away is this from me hope someone can help thanks craig.dumbarton

now bri hows things im off for my first pike trip in 2 weeks going to loch chon with a friend of another forum hopefully i will catch my first pike in scotland.its took me a while to get some gear together again but looking forward to it have you been out much yourself craig.

hi andy the forth clyde canal 5mins from me im in dumbarton is there any other rivers about mite try the endrick what are the rules there im i ok to use feeder there grounbait worm gunna have a walk round it do ye recomend any good spots?cheers craig

hi fraser,still not got out fishing yet,was guna get aday ticket for the leven i only do feeder fishing its says no groundbait or cage feeders do you think i should join a club?its 40 quid to join the leven dont know were to start wont been fishing everyweek a day ticket will do me .seen it today for a fiver u can join the sfca for the canals for ayear thats not bad been to bowling looks ok dont know how it fishes cheers craig

hi andy had a drive up the canal at bowling today walked up as far as the erskine bridge looks snaggy in places though have you fished this wats the best method.is the leven free to fish,i parked in dalreoch train station walked about a mile found a good spot wat method would be best for the leven very fast flowing.im just looking for a quiet river would love to get my first barbel.havent fished for a year need to get out any info would be great mate keep in touch craig

thanks george for helping me out is the canal a popular place prefer somewere quiet think il have a drive there today.balloch was mobbed the other day wen i was there dont think id go there like,fancy a canal though .i parked a dalreoch station the other day and walked a good distance found a good spot only problen was about a mile walk dont know if you can fish it free aslong as you have a licience,.there was nobody there so peaceful think you could fish it with a feeder worm hookbait or maggot wat about float fishing its avery fast flowing river,rite going to find this canal george thanks again for helping me craig

hi brian long story mate my partner had enough of england,wanted to move back to scotland to her family.trying to find some were to fish quiet place though,its all salmon and trout fishing up here bri,want to catch my first barbel.u do a bit of barbel fishing dont you wwats the best way to get them meat or halibut pellet hairrigged havent fished for ayear dying to get out mate,been on forums but not getting anywere.dont know were to start bri do you know anyone up this area im in dumbarton river leven only 5 mins away anyway hows things keep in touch craig.

hi was at ballloch at the weekend walked past a big sunken boat just were balloch bridge is .i walked up to the opening of the loch on the ballloch park side dont know if that was the rite end mate they were a few people there but none fishing could you tell me were to get worms n maggots cheers .

i have moved to west dumbartonshire and was wanting to know more about the river leven whats it like to fish in?etc.I was into course fishing when i lived in teesside but dont know what are the best rivers to fishin up here .
