thanks but boiles are banned at the place i go to as they dont want the fish to grow too big for the lake as it is only small think about 1/4 of an acer if less but will try with bread as that is the best atreactant there

hi all just after some info really as i have been catching alot on bread with carp but all between 2 to 4lb in size , I have asked fellow anglers who are catching 15lb+ and listen ing to their advice on everything but found out that floating bait is not allowed is there any way i can get the bread just under the surface but not floating ? as there is wildlife that have made the lake its new home and floating baits are banned because of this any help would be greatly appreciated thanks all

i tend to use general 10lb florocarbon line as an all rounder and also makes sure I wont snapp up on anything that takes the bait also what type of hook you using ? spade or eyed ? I use a knotless knot on both but with eyed tend to thread through eye and then on shank hope my little info helps

I know the feeling , I belive if you can trust yourself with a disgorger then you should be fine as the local lake i go to now after much searching about and catch a fare few perch from the small frys to a good 2 1/2 , ended up changing hook type to barbless as prevents any exrta damage witht the barb being taken out but a disgorger will help

Hi I am looking for some anglers in the liverpool area who I could get some fishing advice from, such as bait they prefair for sertain fish and where they think is the best fishing location through liverpool I have tried newsham park and found it a hard days fishing with frends from over the water but havnt been in liverpool for a few years and would like some pointers on fishing rigs and bait mixes thanks for the help if you have the time

thanks for all the replys it has been muchly appreciated an i shall look at the club located places also newsham park i have been to yesterday morning and found it quite difficult to fish as i only had 2 small fry through the whole day must have been where i set up but my friends had prety much the same day there but i will look into the canal further up neer southport way as i have family arounf that area but htnaks again all for the replys

Hi all, i am a new member here and am after as much infomation on decent locations for tench in the merseyside area as i have just moved here and is a bit of a wasteland when it comes to decent fishing areas, i have managed to become a member of a private lake in halewood down to a family member but am not sure on where is best to go other than there specifically for tench as i find them the better fighting fish If anybody can help i will be greatfull for any replys thanks
