Firstly hi, my name's Mark and I used to be a member here way back when the site was in it's infancy, and that's probably the last time I fished too. Back then I was a fairly competent coarse angler, and was just starting to learn a little fly casting too. Now after accidentally catching matt Hayes on sky the other day I'm feeling the rivers calling to me again. Luckily I still have a lot of my old gear. If anyone reading this wants someone to fish with in Taunton, Somerset feel free to drop me a line mdrigby@hotmail.com. I'd especially like to find a regular fly fishing partner to help me learn the sport properly. I also have some basic beachcasting gear, which I'd like to learn to use, so again, I'd love to hear from regular shore anglers who wouldn't mind helping me out.

Get well soon Laddie, it's not the end of the world tho, theres a regular on one of my local ponds that only has one hand, he uses a pair of pliers to hold the hook to bait up, trapes em between his body and his stump, so you can still fish

well i might as well make my first post here useful to someone, do as i do and get a friend in the US to send em plain packaged, just send em a checque to cover cost and postage, i get computer stuff this way, and the tax on that is horrendous, easy way to avoid it
