How much gear do you usually have to carry Quest ??

Yea i use to do that before, the bus drivers seem a bit ****** off the time i took 2 get all my gear on the bus then off it again !!

Thats not a bad idea bud !! It does seem quite daunting biking with all that on my back !!

God its been a while since i was on here !! Decided to get out all my fishin gear and start fishing again. A little bit of a problem tho my nearest fishery is like 5 miles away and since been a student dont really have money for a car and insurance so ill have to use me bike. But ive got a 5 drawer setbox on ma back and a pole holdall, is this a good idea ?? does anyone else bike to there local fishery ?? How was it ?? :confused:

I was looking for a new feeder/ledger rod and came across the summit quintop..is it any good ??and wats the deal with all them tips ?? If anyone has got one could you tell me wat u think of it..cheers

What happends if a rod has a casting rate of 4-8 oz, but you cast a 3oz bomb, what will happen ??

Ive had a look at those Ron Thompson rod and reels, they look decent 12ft beachcaster, Okuma 80 reel and it takes 2-8 oz, pretty good in my opinion and you get free line and u pay £5.50 for terminal tackle this is quite good for someone like myself that wants to start sea fishing on a budget and seen so im only 15 i cant go spending £100 on fishing gear.... :cool:

I am new to sea fishing and wondered what kind of rod and tackle i would need to fish off a pier or off the beach, i only want smallish fish like flatties and have seen a shakespeare rod made for flatfish, has anyone used one and whats it like ??

To day for the first time, i went sea fishing with my dad off the pier in Bridlington he had his rod and his multiplier and i had his other rod and reel. we got set up and was using a simple paternoster with 10lb main line 12lb amensia hook length hook sized 1/0 and a 2oz bomb. The bait we was using was mackeral in the morning and squid in the afternoon, we had lots of knocks and little bites but no fish But i still had a great day fishing and am going to get my own sea rod and reel, to get some small flatties...

My dad got the first sigma wand, he said it was the greatest rod he has ever used, is it mainly for small bites on light lines or decent fish on decent lines or both ??

Im looking for a new bomb rod i have had my eye on the Shakepeare Sigma Wand MK2....has anyone used this and whats u biggest fish on it ??? Also ive seen the Maver Abyss 2000 whats this like ??? Cheers..

Im going to fish a drain near my house ,ive got a 11m pole but im going to buy another of 7 metres and its £15 with 5 pole floats im going to elasticaite it with middy 4-6 cos theres roach,perch and some decent sized tench..should i buy another pole ?? 2. What rig,float and bait should i use for tench ???

what about "The Works" From Middy...Its a great pole its 11.5 metre but u can buy the extension to 12.5.Its 20 elastic and its £120 from Bennets Of Sheffield and u get elastic,spare 3 and a pole holdall...

I want to start carp fishing, but what kind of tackle and bait will i need ??

Does anyone know were i can order a 4th section for my Middy "The Works" Pole, Cos the female section has got a crack on it about 2cm... Please Help...I need it as soon as Possible !!

ive just had a look at the section and it doesnt look that bad and ive had the pole at full length and it doesnt affect the way the pole responds or looks, if i put some black tape over it will it be ok ??? :confused:

well its a crack on the end of my 4 section were it goes over the 5th section, the crack is about 1 1/2 cm what should i do and will it affect the way i fish ?? :confused: :mad:

What should i do ??? will it affect the way i fish??
