  1. Hi all, I know how you all feel I have this thing about reels, I am a great beliver in only using one rod at a time. So why is it i cannot resist buying reels in pairs? I have no need of them I use a Swallow centre pin for a bulk of my fishing, but cannot stop myself from buying Shimano fixed spool reels. It is worse than a drug adiction.
  2. Hi Alan, please would you mail me I have had computer problems, and I don't have your mail address or the date for the Wallis casting day [ 22. March 2003, 10:17 AM: Message edited by: Allan ]
  3. Hi all, Jackie Ballard would like to see angling disappear, she is a bigger menace to angling than an oil spill!
  4. I begin to wonder, if there is such a thing as a "Waterproof garment" I have given up, and now use a cheap coated nylon jacket and trousers. The secret is a 50'wavelock type brolly! This may be a bit on the heavy side for some, but the combination works, with the bonus that your tackle is kept dry. [ 21. October 2002, 07:10 AM: Message edited by: Allan ]
  5. Sorry, I have just noticed this thread. Give Roger McCourtney a ring at Peregrine Rods, Roger is a Harrison agent, besides that he builds the best Barbel rods there are. 01761 436 900 If Roger can help he will

    flurocarbon

This may be a bit late, there is a line on the market that is invisible in water, that is not Fluro, I have been using it for a couple of seasons now it is a bit pricey but worth every penny. It is Insight GR60 clear, I cannot fault it.

  8. And what is wrong with the name Allan I have had my name for 52 years and I am happy with it. As I remember there was at one time, a glut of Andy's

  14. It sounds to me as though you could do with some body building, try your local gym. Bow nets take a bit of getting used to, do not worry the muscles will soon come! Perhaps you should start on a smaller bow net first and work up to a mans one.
