  1. The ultimate would be a forty pound carp, with a plug in tow behind it. When an exausted carp floats to the surface you know there will be a pike neatly self hooked just behind it quote: Peter, Wouldn't that be trolling under power?
  2. Hi Peter, Those 4-8lb Leather Carp from the freezer made excellent flappers for sink and draw, and wobbling mate. Extremly hard wearing though, even if they were a b*****d to cast. The trick was to add a popped up, weak snag link to the main line. Then snag a lift on a Boilie laden bait boat. Best to use something less than 6lb breaking strain for the snag link, otherwise you have to strike really hard to unhitch your flapper.
  3. A 30lb Common, or Mirror yeilds about 20-25 usable fillets, which make suitable dead baits for Pike and Zander. Plus the fins, guts and head, etc. make an excellent pre-bait, chum type ground bait. Easy to get hold of as well. Just walk around your local Carp water at about 4 am. Pick up a rod from outside the bivvy you hear the snoring coming from. 8 times out of 10 there will be a Carp on. Play the beasty quickly, and then despatch it just as quickly..... jobs a good un.
  4. I use Two Ton Epoxy, and Flair clear epoxy. these are readily available from,Arts and Crafts, Model, and Dolls house shops.
  5. I am using XP and have set up several scheduled tasks, such as run disk clean up, run spyware, run Antivirus and run Antivirus update. All are running automatically, as required. However I am unable to set up disk defragmeter as a scheduled task. My old computer ran Windows 98, and setting the disk defrag to run automatically was a simple task. Anyone have any idea how I may achieve this.
  6. I have a file with illistrations for Pike growth rates. Taken from a very old copy of Infisherman magazine. I can send you a copy if like.
