florida is very fishing friendly. i spent 2 weeks there in july at a place called pompano beach about an hour from miami, they have a dedicated fishing pier with tackle shop,bait and rod hire open 24 hours a day.also between there and miami is the biggest tackle shop youve ever seen its called outdoor world and you could spend hours in there, i did!!!. and very cheap too... its right next to the i.g.f.a hall of fame . enjoy...................

ive not fished it myself for amonth or so and i believe its just been drained,limed and restocked as for the fish my best from there is a 10 pound tiger trout on a small black buzzer but that was in july....
