  11. Hi Chuffster, I'm a member of caa i live in chelmsford. I like Blunts mere. its got some nice carp. my biggest carp form there is 13lb, my mates are 15 and 16lb. but the someone i know has caught a 22lber. I find this the best as in the morning theres a kind of feeding frenzie at about 7 till 8:30. I gaurantie you'll catch something. It has an island that you can fish off and the best place is on the island where the water goes around the island like a channel i like this swim. In the summer tuffenll mere is the best if you want to catch something. You'll defintely catch. My mate was a member last year and caught alot of 15-20lbers. The little lake broads green is right next to tuffenll and this is a good lake my mates caught a 21lber out of there. Braxted resivior is good but i need to be with and adult and my dad won't start fishing till summer. Theres alot of 30ies in there as hennrietta is in there at 31lbs when she was last caught. The best for blunts is probably squid and octupuss pop-ups. Thats what i find best. Boreham main lake has been stocked up with carp and theres quite a few 30ies in there. Hope ive helped Bradley jones P.S. Hope to c u on monday im goin boreham mere.
  12. On thursday the 15th of april, i went carp fishing on Ashgrounds, Fennes Fisheries. I caught a really weird carp. It was about 30-40cm but really fat. I could just fit my hand around it. Does anyone know why? I thought it might be pregnant as it is spawning time but aren't sure. Thanks for any answers Brad P.S.Sorry pic didn't come out well so it isn't good enough. Sorry. [ 17. 17. I went fishing on saturday 28th and didn't catch a thing or get any bites. My mate went last week and caught a 13lb and a 7lb. And another person caught two 10lbs. I went to the same lake. I was using a simple lead clip with a 1 1/2 oz pear with a size 6 hook. I tried a vary of bait, i used a squid and octupus pop-up, i tried a spicy cury boilie, tutti fruitti boilie and a maple-8 boilie. I can't wait till i go next week, hope i catch sumthin, Brad.

  20. i have been carp fishing twice and now i have caught my first carp ever. It was about 3.10lbs mirror. i caught it in a small pond in essex, chelmsford, felested. I was using a 10mm strawberry pop-up. The time was about 11 o clock. I'd only been there about 1 hour and i wasn't expecting it. I can't wait to go again and beat my PB. Brad
  21. Well done. How long you been carp fishing. I went for my second time today(7/feb/2004)in a small pond about 400yards long and caught my first carp after about an hour a mirror. It was about 3lbs 10oz-4lbs. when it got hooked i was readdin my mag and suddenly the rod started to bend then i got up and started to play it(my mag nearly blew away.) Then in about half an hour later my mate caught a common a bit smaller in the same place. My mate was coarse fishing and didn't catch a thing. I was really chuffed. Brad
  22. Well, im a begginer and i had to look around. I got the basics: 1. rod&reel which is a good start. 2.a spool of 10 to 15lbs and put it on to your reel. 3.leadgers, baiting needle, bating drill, boillie stops, boillies and a lead clip set. 4.a rod pod with butt grips, swingers and front rest.(ebay is cheap) 5.(optional)bite alarms swingers will do as a starter. 6.ready made hair rig. Then you will be ready for a few sessions of carping. For more info look on my website it tells yopu rigs and stuff. www.freewebs.com/carp_fishing!
  23. Look at my website www.freewebs.com/carp_fishing! ive done my best to make it as good as i can. plz report your PB and anythin you think could help me to make my website better. 24. you can use groundbait for carp and coarse. You can use it around a method feeder or just throw it in when it is moulded into balls. Hope this has answered your problems Brad P.S. for more info on carp fishing look at my site: www.freewebs.com/carp_fishing!
