I am led to believe that this particular fish has been caught 4 times since rob caught her, which can not be very healthy for the fish. As you can see the fish is at a slightly lower weight than it was then. Could this be due to the angling pressure that this fish is being put under??
Now i know nige is a very keen angler and i am not knocking him for that!!! But and a big but, when i listened to his talk about his 18 thirties at the PAC meeting in manchester last september, he said that the size of fish and the numbers game did not really matter to him! But yet i know of at least three differant 30lb fish he has being chaseing in the last 2 months.
I now clearly know, that nige is not the angler he made himself out to be. Because all he is doing in my eyes is feeding off other people's info, right down to exact areas where the BIG fish have been caught! How do i know this? I have seen it with my own eyes on one of the waters i fish. And for him to turn up at a fenland water for the first time and catch this fish, isn't such a great achievment in my opinion, fenland thirties are very few and far between.
I know you might think that there's a hint of jealousy in this post, but i kid you not ,i wouldn't go to these extremes to catch big fish just for the sake of keeping the numbers up!!! Very sad! for the fish that is!
So there you have it!!.....IT'S NOT WHAT YOU KNOW!! BUT WHO? AND WHERE? Rant over!!!!
