  3. yep i been fishing at night for carp many a time........ only to be plagued by tench...usually between 12pm-3am... never had a big bream at night tho.... had a 6 & 3/4 lb bream on a 25mm home made boilie in the day tho lol...but i would certainly give night fishing for tench a go.... u would be surprised at the results

  8. [/img] This fish came from a lake that many of the locals told me that i would be wasting my time fishing as there was "nothing in it worth catching" and that nobody had ever caught anything off of......i blanked for 110 hours before pulling this 26&1/2 lb fish out...not the biggest carp ive ever caught but probably the nicest...... what im saying is.... find out for yourself
  9. nice site gaffer...that pretty much sums it up..........
  10. hi guys & gals...... any1 using this forum from cambridgeshire?? have you been having any luck on the lakes and rivers at the moment..if so let me know.... looking for inspiration
  11. hi zappa... well i usually find the spot i want with the help of my marker float... cast to it and bring it back in to avoid such problems...but i spose if your going to leave it out a back lead would'nt be a bad idea..i dont think having your line exposed from the water would be a great idea...... oh and i use braid for my marker floats always...you get a better feel for the lake bed in my opinion...anyway once you have found your required spot in the lake try finding a marker on the far bank and use a stop knot on your line so you dont over cast this way you should keep going back to your baited area.... btw careful if you use the line clip on your spool...you could snap the line if you dont slow it down
  12. I use berkley big game myself..... always found it to be strong and reliable...and its resonably priced
  13. .http://www.fishingmagic.com/review/reviewproduct/mps/RPN/2784/RER/3/v/2.. @ only £23 it was quite a find.... and with the rest it would be bait ..a small book.... and a bottle of pepsi
  14. yeah i tend to agree with rob...have you checked out the bottom with marker floats and such alike...finding features can sometimes matter as much as the bait itself.... so first find out where your placing your bait....and then worry about bait!!!.... if your using three ..rods what i tend to do is especially on a new water..is use the same bait on 2 rods applyed in 2 different methods...then on the third rod something completely different...i.e. a large cube of meat..or 4 peices of sweetcorn on the hair.....or something like that.... always trying to be different
