  1. Is this the lake by the cemetery? If so I seem to remember it has some decent carp in it ten years ago, and it was run by a rule oriented club. My mate was asked to leave because some of the carp he hooked went into the reeds near a club members bait, he didn't lose any fish though. Probably a case of sour grapes. Hope it is more angler friendly now. Mark
  2. There was a twenty out to a pole angler last weekend as well as quite a few doubles, don't know which lake though. The lake is the one behind the lake in front of the tackle shop if that makes any sense to you. I was talking to a young lad who fished a match on there last weekend today and he said there were quite a few fish out over the weekend. Enjoy you trip. Mark
  3. But what's the fishing like? Mark
  4. In India (where most call centres will soon be located) workers are paid a third of what they would be paid over here, not in rice but in currency. This is because the cost of living is a lot cheaper over there. Not because they work harder or are have a stronger work ethic etc, etc. If anyone was willing to work for £1.50 an hour in this country they would always have a job, at the end of the day it's about businessess making a profit, the more profit the better. I worked for the best part of a year selling crafts from the far east and through contacts I found out that one of the best carvers sells pieces that take him two years to complete for less than £5000. How many craftsmen in this country could afford to work for £2500 a year? or would be willing to do so? Mark
