  1. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep I am a 1,000 winds that blow I am the diamond glints on snow I am the sun on ripened grain I am the gentle autumn rain When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled light I am the soft star that shines at night Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there; I did not die. 2. Lay it on the floor (even nail it to the floor), label uppermost, wind it off sideways onto your fixed spool reel. After a few turns, see if it is trying to kink, if so, turn it over and carry on. Foolproof? well, almost, but certainly for braid. [ 09. July 2004, 02:42 PM: Message edited by: blanked again ]
  3. Winter I like the idea, must be better than elastic. Can't help you on the 'loother' bit. Tried Google and only came up with this:- >Dat brotha iz rite. Wite foaks like u make awl us >desent wite peeple look bad. U iz da one acten >stewpid. If u dont likes niggras u dont havta print >it whare awl kin see, yuse yore branes, keep it to >yoresef. Dats haw awl dat trouble starded wen dat >fella Mardin Loother King opined up a can a worms. >Now look at dis country. But I think I may have strayed away from the thread........
  4. South West Nets in Newlyn have just sold me a nice piece for a push net for sandeels! With yours, that makes two being made. Must be the latest fashion!! You will find them via Google. Happy hunting Tim
  5. Hi Lewis Castle point - bet you've never tried fly fishing from there . I was there 3 years ago and it took about 8 ounces of lead to get the feathers to sink, the wind was that strong. But a great place to be. Never had any luck at the Bridges of Ross. Never fly fished ever So the other day I thought I would subscribe to the Irish Angler as Ireland is where I go for holiday sea fishing. With the subscription comes a free fly leader. So now I start thinking about sea fly fishing, as I have the line. I've had a look on a sea fly fishing web-site but it's like reading a foreign language. Any idea where I can find out the real basic basics?? Tim [ 17. June 2004, 09:41 PM: Message edited by: blanked again ]
  6. Alan Haven't a clue who you are but I always know that if you've put something up, it will be worth reading. The forum will be a lesser place without you, so please don't go. What I cannot understand is why the powers in the ether don't just switch people off who are deliberately offensive, particularly on threads that should be about fishing. We can forgive lapses into Upper case or even texting talk but offence for no reason is just not on. Please pull the plug, someone up there!! If that doesn't happen, I suggest we totally ignore such childish behaviour and like all children who cannot get attention, they will get tired and either go away or grow up. Sadly, I think the worst offender is not exactly stupid, but only acts that way.
  7. Lets hope no-one EVER miss-spells social worker
  8. As only a very new reader and not a poster, I find most contributors really do contribute and I take my hat off to you all. You may disagree but Winter has also done some good. A short time ago a certain Yakker seemed the pits, but now he seems to be an angel by comparison - well done Winter!!
  9. pssssst, Kieran, try to tone down your reports on catch sizes, otherwise Ireland will be swamped. A lot of people don't really know how good Ireland is for fishing, so let's not tell the whole world!! Tim
