Simon only been on windermere, not on water all day but in and out, i remember reading somwhere that if you are on the large size it could distort centre hatch.(im not saying im a bloater though.Ok not far off) Marvin ill get some stands an do what you suggest the handles the wifes has 4 per handle so it cant twist much better.

How much water in hull is normal I usually end up with at a guess about 2 pints checked for faults in moulding but seems ok i have noticed a few drops in small round hatch.wife has same yak so will be able to compare next time out. Also to P13 owners how many fixings in your handles mine has 2 but wifes has 4.
  4. Hi. All Wondered where everyone had gone,thought everybody had hung their yaks up, only been checking sea angling forum updated my links now. good to have yak forum now, thanks A.N. Wifes gone and bought prowler 13 she got a OK frenzy first but didnt like it so changed it for P13 instead got it from gorlston marine norfolk good to deal with and they do free delivery.
  5. Thanks for the offer Sanctuary, all us yakkers aways have a couple of tins of Spinach stowed away for Emergencies. Dont think i'll be going out big tides, not been out on sea yet or moving water for that matter so if you see someone on a yak passing you going backwards arms flailing its me.

Might be a bit tricky the people who I got the Mambo from told me to go to stand with the ainsworth paddles on and pick one to suit me because he was getting a supply of paddles from them so he supplied the size I told him, the size they told me complicated isnt it, and know they didnt measure me just looked at me and said im never far out.You just take it for granted sometimes being in the trade they should know. olly

  14. Hi all Having had a paddle now I feel the paddle might be a bit short I was advised to go for 205cm on the Ainsworth stand at the NEC,Has any body got any views on this? olly

  17. hi all Got out for fist paddle today in windermere felt great nothing to compare it with though, managed to do a deep water re-entry, once was enough water was freezing tried abit of spinning no fish though dont know what I would have done if I hooked into a big pike,got a taste what its like to cast from it.Ill try and put some pics up. olly
  18. Hi all New Prowler 13 arrived saturday spent afternoon getting it in the garage maiden voyage tomorrow going on windermere taking a rod, do a bit of pike fishing see how it feels. SDD are you from windermere you wouldnt know what access is like on western shore at harrowslack can you still drive down there? olly

Hi All should have got prowler today got phone call instead saying van had boken down not getting it till saturday now Weather doesnt look good for week end still off for a paddle on windermere though,my sons RTM mambo came.The garage will be full when my prowler comes going too hang them from roof joists in cradles just hope I can get them both on car ok (Focus). olly

Hi all Back from NEC a few sit ons about no prowlers unless I missed them quite a intersting and varied show only angler version yak was a RTM tango looked a bit cramped though,managed to get kitted out: Yak L/John, rash vest and cheap Cag,got my son a RTM mambo plan to spend a bit of time in the lakes. Thanks simon for advice on paddles got a couple of ainsworth one to start with they do seem stiff only down side is they dont have drip rings is it possible too fit them or do they have to be done when they are made.Too many paddles for a noob to choose from and diferent opinions, will see how these go I paid £50 for mine and £30 for lads. olly
