    I'd take a swim feeder approach Dave, using an open end feeder, with bread, sweetcorn or worm as hook bait, as I seem to recall you saying maggots are expensive "over there". I would also check the river bed by casting out a bomb, and slowly retrieving it, so you can find if there is any weed or other snags to avoid Hope this helps, Ian

    Not too stupid though "TWO men who sold a war memorial for scrap metal in exchange for £124 have walked free from court." They had the sense to get good lawyers!! They deserve to be locked up, just as the studnt who urinated on a war memorial, in Sheffield, did.
