launched at north forlands nr margate kent last wedneday and ended up cruising right round to dover admiralty to get some mackeral for bait for the year ahead stopped quite a few times as the fishfinder went mad but never caught 1 looked at the admiralty and only saw 8 come up the wall just goes to show you cant always catch better in a boat.

these settings 50 56 . 421 1 17 . 972 are they map settings or a gps setting and how do you get them, as as i told you i am a novice to these settings maybe i should go back to school lol maybe someone can explain the settings to me thanks

hi i have been fishing in boats for 30 yrs but want to get to know about gps and finding marks out at sea i have looked at a couple but they look so complicated i have my own boat and go quite regular does anyone know of any courses i can take in the kent area or anyone wants to give me some lessons i live in herne bay any advise would be grateful cheers

well i took my boat out yesterday and traveled from north forlands nr margate to dover admralty pier from low water to end of high tide and found loads on the fish finder, but never had a mackeral all day i was gutted we was drift fishing with feathers and hookeyes a waste of petrol and time the day before people told us they had loads.

hi does anyone know how how mant miles the varne is off of folkestone kent and where is the best place to launch a boat we tried folkestone but that was very dodgy as to retrieve your boat with all the parked cars if dover do you need harbour masters permission and do you need a ship to shore radio with licence do you have to pay thanks

hi i am in herne bay kent area cant seem to get any peelers anywhere been on the beach checked rocks and groins but not a peeler in sight anyone know of a regular supplier to get some from ie frozen or fresh if anyone knows can the let me know how much and where thanks guys or if anyone has any they could sell me live in hope ???????

WHY IS EVERYTHING A SECRET i have been a keen fisherman all my life and love my boat fishing but where i live in herne bay kent everything is a secret. when i go out i always have people coming up to me asking how i got on and what marks i have fished and what tackle and bait i used, i love to help people out and give them as much information to my knoledge which isn't alot ha! ha! in my town you go down to the local marina and have a chat to people that have just come in from fishing and i say hi mate how did you get on there reply is not much. then you see aload of bass in the boat and thornies. another time i asked someone else how they got on and they said quite good. so i asked what they caught and there reply was about 20 good sized bass so i asked what method and bait and mark they fished. he replied sorry mate cant tell you. you might go out there tommorow and nick em all... well i ask you what are some people like there is plenty of fish in the sea but some people are just ignorant!!!!! i am glad i am a member on here everyone is so eager to help anyone cheers chaps..
