  1. There is a shop opposite where I live on Eleanor Road next to the bike shop between the abbey and the cross and though I walk past it every day I cant remeber its name!
  2. Halls closed a few years back now! Try doing a google for a shop called reel to reel
  3. Doh! was replying to earlier posts
  4. Yawn!!! I am not here to discuss the ins and outs of this so called circus enjoy your fishing and I will carry on doing what I am paid for - enlightening people!
  5. So in answer to the question its very much on a need to know basis?? What a shame that 99.9 per cent of the angling public would be completely unaware of a truly amazing catch if we were all to adopt such a 'vision'.
  6. Time permitting I will….
  7. I can assure you that sour grapes is very far off of the mark! We pulled out all the stops to make concessions with the controlling club in attempt to give the angling public the full story. Would you rather an truly amazing bit of angling history be kept under wraps for the selected few?
  8. It is 100 per cent true another Angler's Mail exclusive
  9. Yeah it went bobbing past on the Friday lunch time....to say I was lost for words - well I had just sorted an article on sturgeon and how they hadn't been any in British waters for years only to spot one minutes later!! I wouldn't of thought it lasted long at all the poor thing has probably gone from someones back garden pond to being plopped into the dirty, turbid tidal Thames...two very different environments I'm sure you would agree. Having chatted to a few experts I have been told that this time of year they bury themselves in weed and as they dont have the ability to swim backwards they subsequently persih! Then their ever caring owner drops it in the the Thames..... or of course it may have just got to big for someones pond so they dumped it. Either way not only illegal but pretty cruel in my book!!!
  10. It wasn't planted I can assure you... It came floating past me and the match editor as we were talking to an eel angler. It was about 10-15 lb wouldn't like to be anymore precise than that as it was minging....been 'gone' for quite some time. It may seem odd that it was found by a fishing mag but had on my heart it was not planted!!!
