  4. Hi Bingo Have fished the canal quite a bit, have pulled out some very nice Perch 2lb+ is the best at the moment also i know that there are some BIG Pike in there 30+.(Thats probably a bit big for me not sure if i could deal with such a fish) The problem i have found with the canal is that some of the best areas are totally over run by weed. Guess thats not so much of a prob this time of year. Where abouts is that ?? Where do you fish ?? Dave
  5. was`nt aware that carp did that, cheers for the info. How about late oct, my guess is that the carp are still moving around or does it depend on the water temperature???

  10. Hes one for you, my wife has a friend how is polish, now as you know the polish eat carp for xmas, any road they have grown this carp in the bath and it is now living in the pond. The only reason it was not eaten for xmas was that my wifes friend gave the carp a name (not sure wot it was called) she then got to attached to it and could not bear the thought of eating it. The last update i had was that it was about 10 lbs in wt.

  18. Hi All Need a little help, have been using pva bags on slowish moving rivers for a while and it has worked well (6lb chub well). Then moved on to using them for carping, however i have found that i cant get the PVA bag to sink. Now i normally make a pellet/hemp ground bait. When fishing a river i tie the pva bag to the weight so that the ground bait sinks and lands near the hook bait, ideal. What can i do to make the pva bag sink in a lake???? or am i just doing something wrong when i set my rig up??? Thanks guys STC
