  1. Oops, sorry Dave...Colin's quite right but it's still handy to have some form of ID like he says.Just found this... " Whilst UK citizens do not require a passport or visa to enter Ireland, most carriers by air or sea now require some form of identification with photograph (usually either a passport or driving license with photo). Visitors are advised to check what form of ID is required with the individual, airline, ferry company, tour operator or travel agent before travelling. Non UK nationals must have a valid passport or national identity card as appropriate. Citizens living within the EU and most other Western countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa do not require visas. All other countries should contact their local Irish Embassy / Consulate prior to travelling to the Republic of Ireland, and visitors to Northern Ireland should contact their local British Embassy / High Commission or Consular Office. "
  2. Yeah, you do. It only came in about 3 or 4 years ago,but generally if you've a UK driving license and an English accent then that should be good enough, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one for going over there anyway.Trying to make out you're a Lithuanian for a joke might not go down too well...
  3. (edit) oh yeah, forgot to mention when you've finished with the needle for the day and you've cleaned it out, leave the plunger halfway up the vial just in case there's still a bit of oil residue in there, next time you use it just push down and you'll break any seal there.Hope this helps a bit.Fudgey's idea is a good one too.
  4. The rubber doesn't expand Melvin, chances are that the oil congealed a bit around it and you've pulled the plunger out. Try cleaning the needle out with water after each time you use it even if you use it half a dozen times in a session, you'll soon know when all the oil is out. You'll get a bit of a longer life with it this way. Of course,if you're doing this already please ignore the two previous sentences
  5. Thanks for that Andy,it's appreciated mate. Pete,I know the lures were old,but I didn't know that they were that old ,straight up,I can remember getting them from the mid 70's but I think they disappeared around 1980 (ish). They made a reappearance earlier this year under the name woblex from Mark Kitson, very similar lures but the original had a hard plastic head, the new ones are a soft plastic.(as you probably know anyway)Still, they're always great fun to use anyway, whether you use them as they are or take off the treble and add a circle to them. Similar inherent problems though, nothing a drop of superglue won't put right in both cases. I agree with you that the silver bladed ones were better though. Hey Slodger, when are you going to show me how to re-size pics then
  6. Cheers Slodger, sent you a couple of pics. If you don't mind me saying so,what a great name you've got there ! all the best steve
  7. Not quite sure what you mean by antique Elton, but these are reasonably old, hope they help a bit.
